Denise was born and raised in Miami, Florida and lived a year in El Paso, Texas. Her fluency in Spanish and English and exceptional professional writing skills are highly beneficial traits that have greatly benefited previous employers. Ms. Pichardo leverages her skills and passion for the law, to deliver the highest level of legal support possible to clients.

During law school, Denise interned as a clerk in federal court with the Honorable James L. King of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and for Dade Legal Aid. While in law school, Denise was active in the law school community and was the Executive Editor of the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review and then Editor-in-Chief.

Denise’s pursuit of a Juris Doctorate degree was driven by a deep commitment to giving a powerful voice to the voiceless. Denise has handled many family law cases from simple to complex matters during her career as well as extensive litigation both through the administrative court process and circuit court matters ranging from child support and paternity to highly contested divorces and relocations. With a strong passion for defending those who cannot adequately represent themselves, Denise uses her valuable experience and insight to fight for her clients’ rights.

Before working in family law and evictions, Denise worked in property insurance claims representing homeowners and contractors as well as insurance carriers. While working in property insurance Denise dealt with many matters with both residential and commercial claims both in state and federal court. Denise has also handled high asset bankruptcy cases on behalf of secured creditors. Denise has extensive experience in conducting legal research and drafting reports and recommendations in civil and family cases.

Denise has a strong work ethic driven by her desire to help others. Her results-oriented style and habit of looking at cases from all angles makes her an essential part the team.

During her free time, Denise loves spending time with family and friends, eating at a local place, reading, or time with her cats.
